Trusted Living Journal

Editorial policy

Trusted Living Journal aims to make domestic subjects clearer without making them sound more certain than they are. We use direct language, check factual claims against suitable sources and distinguish general guidance from individual preference.

Accuracy and sources

Before publication, factual statements are checked for clarity and support, with care taken over dates, definitions and claims about how things work. We do not invent testing, personal experience, credentials or research. Where a point is uncertain, disputed or dependent on context, the wording should make that plain. Readers can use the Contact page to flag a possible error or ask about a source.

Independence and interests

Editorial decisions are made for reader value and fit with the publication's subject. A commercial relationship does not guarantee coverage or a favourable view. Material produced with a partner is identified clearly, and editorial articles are not presented as independent when they are not.

Corrections

When we find a meaningful error, we review the relevant passage and correct it. Where a correction changes the sense of a published article, we make the change clear to readers rather than quietly leaving a misleading impression. Send a correction through the Contact page with the article subject and the detail in question.

Partner material and illustrations

Partner or sponsored material is labelled so readers can tell it apart from editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where used, they are identified as such. Illustrations are not evidence that a pictured scene, object or result was observed or tested.

Our point of view

A home is made by use, not by display

We look at how household choices work in real life: what a routine asks of you, what a room needs to do, and what an object is for.
