Write for us
We welcome pitches that make one part of domestic life easier to understand. Propose a focused subject, show what a reader will learn, and explain why it belongs in Trusted Living Journal.
What to pitch
We consider clear, original proposals about household rhythms, shared spaces, home objects, domestic customs and homekeeping. A strong pitch has one main question or decision at its centre, a defined reader, and a useful answer that does not depend on a perfect home or a universal routine.
What makes a good proposal
Tell us the working title, the central idea, the points you would cover and what makes the subject worth a reader's time. Mention any sources or expertise the piece would rely on, and disclose relevant commercial interests. Do not send confidential material or claim testing, research or personal experience that you cannot substantiate.
How to send it
Send proposals through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include enough detail for us to assess the idea; a complete draft is not needed for an initial pitch. A proposal is not an agreement to publish, and we may ask for changes to its scope or approach.
A home is made by use, not by display
We look at how household choices work in real life: what a routine asks of you, what a room needs to do, and what an object is for.
